It was another great 4th of July in the Largest Independence Day celebration in the nation!

Once I was home from work Trav treated me by taking us to one of the Provo Rooftop Concerts they throw all summer long. The concerts are now on Center street from how popular they’ve gotten, in fact, when Trav and I were first dating we came and saw Neon Trees here; it brought back some good memories. This time we went to the rooftop of Nu Skin to see the show and it was a chill time.

Besides running errands all day, we went to Indian Palace for Dinner to celebrate Trav’s birthday week and then at night was stadium of fire! So we once again went to the Nu Skin rooftop to check out the fireworks and hang out!

My sister slept over our place the night before for our big 4th of July plans! We woke up early to see the hot air balloons, sadly due to weather they couldn’t take off so it was disappointing. So we decided to eat breakfast at our favorite local bakery, The Mighty Baker, and get good spots for the parade. We lucked out cause we got reserved seating so we sat on bleachers instead of having to find a spot in the grass or street. The parade was a blast as usual and I even bought Sherlyn how to whistle with her lips which was fun!

After a nice cool nap in our apartment, we decided to grab some Mexican for lunch, and then headed to the movies to watch “Now you see me 2” and it was awesome! We kept the carnival on center street for later in the afternoon when it cooled down and walked around to check out all the vendors and shops. After all the festivities, we were too tired to even see any fireworks that night so we just called it quits and went to bed, haha! All in all, I’d say it was an action packed Independence Day, I couldn’t help but think how grateful I am to live in this country, to be a part of the melting pot that is America, and for all the privileges we are blessed with.
