I was 13 when I bought my first Coldplay CD (yeah remember those?), X&Y, and I fell in love with their effortless sound. Something about their music is just so universal, it always takes me to another dimension, and was always a go-to during the highs and lows of my life. Going to one of their concerts has been a life-long dream, and what better way to fulfill it than in their tour, A Head Full of Dreams!!!!

This was BY FAR the most amazing concert I've ever been to! One of the coolest things that made it so interactive for the fans were these LED light-up wrist bands! The entire audience got them as we came in and they would change colors in symphony with the music. So when Coldplay sang 'Yellow', the entire arena lit up! "Yeah it was all yellow..."
Star-shaped confetti was constantly flying everywhere, giant balloons fell from the sky, and the lights and lasers displayed a spectrum of colors. It made for an amazing show!!!

Chris (lead singer) had us jumping, raving, and singing along with him all night! He'd run up and down center stage, roll around on the floor, and do karate chops in the air when the beat would drop! At one point, he asked the entire arena to crouch down on the floor with him, and as the drop got closer, he counted to 3 and we all jumped in the air and fist-pumped with our LED bands to the beat! It was a sight to see!!!
I had two favorite parts of the night. One was when he took an Instagram request, got off the main stage and walked to a corner stage to be closer to all the fans in the back. It was then that he played one of my favorite Coldplay oldies of all time, 'Green Eyes'. I nearly cried of joy!!!
My second favorite part was a simple, but sweet ode to Gene Wilder that he gave while ending with a twist during his song 'The Scientist'. (1:05 on the video below) "It will be, it will be, in a world of pure imagination..."
There is so much more that went on, and I could go on forever talking about this night! But the truth of the matter is, no matter how much I write, you just have to go see them and experience it for yourself!!! It will change your life!!!
Here's a shout out to my BFF Nathaly who loves this song and comes home from her mission today!!!
And a final shout-out to Alessia Cara who was one of the opening acts for the night and gave a nod to Coldplay in her hit song 'Here', she was GREAT live!!!
